Operator: Global Connection Pvt Ltd (“RideForward”, “we”, “us” or “our”)
This Policy explains how RideForward collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, submit a screening or opportunity application, or become a member. We aim to handle information responsibly and in accordance with applicable Sri Lankan law and data protection requirements.
1. Information we collect
Depending on your use, we may collect your name, telephone number, district or location, occupation, screening answers, application statements, messages, membership and credit status, payment status, and technical or security logs. Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless a programme specifically requests it and explains why.
2. How we use information
We use information to receive and review screening requests and applications; contact applicants about interviews, eligibility and outcomes; administer membership, payments and credits; facilitate opportunities; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain and improve the website; and meet legal, accounting, recordkeeping and regulatory obligations.
3. Screening and membership
The initial form is a screening or interview request. Submitting it does not create paid membership or trigger a membership charge. If screening is approved, RideForward may contact you with membership onboarding and payment instructions. Information submitted is used to assess the request and communicate the outcome.
4. Sharing information
We may share relevant information with donors, sponsors and participating partners when needed to assess or administer an opportunity; service providers supporting hosting, storage, form handling, communications, payment, security or technical operations; and professional advisers or authorities where required by law or necessary to address rights, fraud, safety or security. We aim to share only information reasonably necessary. Applicant information is not provided to partners for unrelated marketing merely because it was submitted for an opportunity; any additional use must have an appropriate legal basis and consent where required.
5. Google Sheets and service providers
RideForward may store application information in a Google Sheet connected through Google Apps Script. Google and other providers may process information under their own service terms and privacy policies. Access to records should be limited to authorized people who need it. The operator should maintain appropriate account security, access controls and backups.
6. Cookies and local storage
The website may use browser storage or similar technologies for functions such as campaign countdowns or preferences. You can manage or clear browser storage through your browser settings. If analytics, advertising or additional tracking is introduced, this Policy should be updated and required consent obtained.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Notify us if you believe your information has been misused.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for screening, membership administration, opportunity fulfilment, legal obligations, disputes and legitimate operational purposes. Periods may vary by record type. We review whether information remains necessary and securely dispose of or anonymize it when appropriate and lawful.
9. Your choices and requests
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, ask how it is used, or raise an objection or complaint. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security or dispute purposes. We may verify identity before responding. Contact RideForward through the official contact details published on the website.
10. Children
RideForward is generally intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect children’s information through adult membership or screening forms. A programme permitting minors must have a suitable process, including legally appropriate parent or guardian consent.
11. International processing
Providers or partners may process information outside Sri Lanka. RideForward will take steps required by applicable law and use appropriate safeguards where required.
